Miscellaneous

We produced another small group of p. picta again this year.  Most will be held back to focus on refining colors and patterns next season.  The small numbers this year are due to our move to a new home during the period of time most of the girls were ovulating, and ready to be bred.  The upcoming year we hope to have more animals available, and a variety of morphs as well.  One animal we produced this year has solid black eyes.  We are going to breed that one again next season to see if it is a trait that can be reproduced, or if it is just a random anomaly.  Unfamiliar with pictus?  They are a bit more shy than leopard geckos, and require a daily misting.  Otherwise they are a fun alternative for somebody who wants a terrestrial gecko that can easily live in a smaller home than a 10 gallon tank.
